1. Tele-match Competition

2.Guard Of Honour

• Our company was allocated 7 boys to involve in the GOH. Selected Boys/Ncos will be informed later
  
• GOH practice on 13th September 2009 from 1.30pm – 4.00pm at Chin Kwong Methodist Church.

3.Founder’s Day 2009 Rehearsal

• The rehearsal will be on the 4/10/09. All those who are involved  are requested to come for the rehearsal.

This is the first ever Fancy drill display performed in the History of 7th Kuching Company.

The purpose of introduce Fancy drill/Sequence drill in Boys’ Brigade Drill Programs is to create member’s further interest towards drill after member’s couple of years drill practice. Fancy drill can be perform  during school/church recruitment days to attract more members.

1. Drill Camp

During this school holiday, our company organized a drill camp with the attendance of 15 boys. In this 3 days 2 nite drill camp, boys gone thru a tough and intensive Basic drill award scheme which enable them to speed up the learning process to gain their Drill basic award. A basic drill award class had started right after this camp.

2. First Aid Basic award.

This month counts the end of our first aid basic award class. 17 boys had attended their First Aid basic award test.

10 out of 17 has passed their First Aid basic award.

3. Band class

March marks the history of our company, we’ve started our very own Band class!! Currently we start with Bugles( one of the traditional instrument which identify BB) and drums. This is also a traditional BB band formation back to over 100 years ago when BB just started in Glassgow, UK.

During this march’s church parade, 4 private promoted to L/cpl and 2 L/cpl promoted to Cpl.

BB ReachOut 2008- Youth Against HIV/AIDS is a joint initiative between The Boys’ Brigade in Malaysia (BBM) and The Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) and in association with The Ministry of Health of Malaysia (MOH) – to create awareness and educate 100,000 youth about HIV/AIDS from May- Dec 2008.

Through this initiative, MAC through BBM hopes to achieve one of the strategies under the MAC Strategic Plan 2008-2010 that is to “Reduce HIV Vulnerability & Infection among Young People (Ages 15-24) and Creating A Supportive Environment for HIV Prevention for Youth.”

There will be visual/powerpoint presentation On this Reachout project in coming Saturday (08/112008)  presented by Officers, Squad leaders pls make sure all your boys will be coming this saturday for this presentation/training so that all of you know how to Obtain this Reachout Badge!!!

2008 KUCHING LEVEL FOUNDER’S DAY SERVICE
4th October 2008 (Saturday), 06:15pm
Faith Methodist Church, Jalan Hup Kee, Kuching

The service is a tribute to the founder of The Boys’ Brigade, Sir William Alexander Smith, who started off the first uniformed youth movement in the world from Glasgow, Scotland in 4th October 1883, and has since grown to be a worldwide organisation, influencing the lives of the youths then, and now.

This year we are also celebrating the 125th year of the world BB formation of impacting lives. There will be presentations of the Guards of Honour, BB band, multimedia slides, Christian sharing, Junior Boys creative skills, awards &  recognitions, and refreshments!

Programs: Enrolment, Senior dance, junior singing, sharing, etc

BB month is the main income of the Boys’Brigade. Boys are encouraged to collect funds from any friends or relatives or person they know to support the ministry of the Boys brigade. The collections from members will be use as the supporting funds to any activities run by the company level, state level or National levels.

7th Kuching company will be running BB month collection in this mid Sept till Oct, boys are encourage to collect as more as they can.
