Chinese New Year Gathering 08′

On the Cny day 3, the boys and officers of 7th kuching company gather together for CNY visitation. CNY visitation always a tradition among chinese aiming for fellowship, meeting friends, chit chatting and not forgetting to give blessing and recieving blessing from each others.

After “bai nian” (visitation) with serveral boys and officers house for the whole day, the CNY visitation end happily wif lots of “ang pao” in their pocket.

First Awards & Parents’ Night

On 27th December 2006, parents, teachers, Boys and officers gathered together in Chin Daw Methodist church, Kuching nothing but for one purpose–that is, celebrating our company’s first Awards & Parents’ Night.

This simple yet meaningful gathering started with an opening prayer by our Company Captain Hii King Ong and followed by the fellowship and dinner of the night.

After the dinner, every one of us proceeded to the chapel for the highlight of the night, award presentations.

It starts with a time of praise and worship lead by W/O Edmund and some words of encouragement by our captain. A time of sharing by our Chaplain Pastor Ling was to remind our boys that, gaining armful of awards shows the result of understanding of our knowledge on the earth. But by gaining knowledge from the bible, we will gain our big reward in heaven, which is eternal life. Our chaplain also encourages us not to be selfish to give and let others know about Christ, he challenges us to bring more and more non-Christian friends to join us so that others has a chance to know Christ through activities of the BB.

He also stated that, the pride is not given to a company which has most number of boys but the number of boys’ who have true spiritual life and heavenly knowledge that they gain through the BB.

Finally, the highlight of the night, award presentation; several awards were giving out to those boys who successfully completed and gone through exams in the past few months. All the Certificates and Badges of 2006 were given out for those who were entitled for their hard work and a token of appreciation for their participation throughout the year.

Our very first Awards & Parents’ night ended with a media show of the whole year activities of the company and Chaplain Pastor Ling.closed in prayer.

Thank you Lord for guiding us through this very successful 7th Kuching Awards & Parents’ Night. Amen!
